Meet Account Specialist Betsy Huaroto
Betsy Huaroto is an Accounts Specialist for the Business Solutions team at the National Student Clearinghouse.
What is your role and duties to serve our clients?
My role with the Clearinghouse is as an Account Specialist. I assist with the operational management of our key accounts. We focus on following up with our clients to create long-term relationships. Our mission to help higher education, the future of America, and students is what drives me.
It is great to know that we are giving back to our community by supporting schools and students. Having graduated not too long ago, I see our services not just from an employer perspective, but also from a student perspective. We help fill the gap between schools and employers for quick and easy verifications and happy new hires. What is the best part of your job?
What does a typical day look like for you?
Daily, I work with the Business Development Team to support major schools and organizations with their verification needs. We also meet often to review feedback and share ideas on how we can constantly improve. My priority right now is to fully execute a new amendment that will help us implement Fair Credit Reporting best practices. Along with this, I am working on smaller projects, such as a newsletter to maintain great communication with our clients.
What is one thing that you wish all your clients knew?
Being new, I would like to let clients know that there is great synergy on our Business Development team, and we are constantly thinking of ways to improve our services and client satisfaction. We welcome feedback and realize that the best way to keep our clients happy is by working together.
Where did you attend college and what did you study?
I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2020, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management. The combination of my studies and my management background as a restaurant manager has helped me develop great communication and leadership skills, which I look forward to sharing and growing here at the Clearinghouse.
Outside of the Clearinghouse, what do you like to do for fun?
My priority outside of work is my six-year-old daughter. I love spending time with her, going to parks, and doing other recreational activities. We have a lot of fun over the weekends together. The Clearinghouse has great flexibility and work-life balance, which I appreciate as a new team member of this great company.
